SYCLR does not assume every bike on a retailer’s website belongs to that store. Local inventory needs geographic evidence, pickup and shipping context is considered, and uncertainty is not converted into a confident local claim.
Local discovery is based on evidence, not just a retailer address.

Fulfillment
Local Pickup and Shipping Are Not the Same Thing
Some bikes may be available for local pickup while others can also be shipped. SYCLR considers available fulfillment information when deciding which listings to show.
Nearby riders may benefit from pickup-only bikes, while a rider farther away should not assume a local listing ships. Where fulfillment information is unclear, SYCLR keeps it visible rather than guessing.

Deliberate Coverage
Why SYCLR Does Not Publish a Page for Every City
A city does not earn a page just because bike shops exist there. SYCLR opens geographic discovery only where the product genuinely supports that intent — where there is meaningful qualified inventory and real local value. Broad regional coverage is often more accurate than a thin city page.
Coverage expands when the inventory supports it — not when a keyword list says it should.
Geography & Language
“In” and “Near” Are Deliberate
“In” means qualifying inventory is anchored inside the named place — for example, in College Park, in Denver, or in Boulder. “Near” means relevant supported inventory sits in the surrounding region — for example, near Washington DC or near Baltimore.
Which word a market uses depends on the evidence available for that market, so the wording matches the real geography rather than the other way around.

Local discovery should help narrow real opportunities, but the fundamentals still apply: frame size matters, stack and reach stay useful, standover is another quick check, and the bike’s category should match how you ride.
